One of my best friend Tony and his SpeedTech team managed to grabbed few throphies in the recent Sandakan Turf Club drag challenge. Out of the 1o cars they sent, 7 managed to grab 7 throphies in most classes.Tony's cars dragged and got 1st placing in 3 categories as below :
1st Place - Open Class -10.674sec Proton Wira 4WD
1st Place - NA Open Class - 11.614sec Honda Civic EG 2WD
1st Place - Turbo Street Class - 11.311sec Mitubishi EV05 4WD
The new track which opened last year is 400m for the event with the total stretch of 820m for safe brakings after the finishing line.
Tony and his team has plans to improve their timing and hopefully they break into the 9s for the Open Class and 10s for the NA Open Class in the future drag meets. As long they keep running and improving, sooner or later they'll achieve it.
I congratulate Tony and his team SpeedTech for the results and also new timings clocked in this event.
