Raya Special : Sani's Front Bumper Swap

After going to 6 car wreckers, climbing in and between halfcuts, with my dirty palms, arms and jeans, i finally got this Honda Integra DB1 front bumper. The nice things about this front bumper it comes with a "mouthy" front and thankfully it comes clear corner bumper signals. If you have noticed, the original rubber front lip is still intact.

Took me about 1.5 hours to fit this bumper alone especially when the screws on the mounts are jammed and rusted. So i had to be bloody patience to do this.

This bumper was from a nice undented halfcut. After some ball-squeezing negotiation not only i managed to get this bumper, but also managed to get it with a good price during a nice hot sunny afternoon.

So now we have 2 spare DA6 bumpers and 1 spare DB1 bumper at home. How JDM can it be?

Raya Special : Redza's Balik Kampung Quick Shots

Raya Special : Min Cai's Drag E70 Toyota Corolla Coupe

Those that grew up knowing Min Cai, his passion for 3S-GTE engines surprisingly has reach almost a decade. The Starlet EP-71 with the 3S-GTE engine has stamped in everyone's mind to this very day. Due to other car related issues, i managed to meet Min Cai again and we had a long afternoon chat.

After seeing his new 3S engine, i knew that he had blend his skills perfectly with the help of trips to Thailand for Souped-Up Drag Championship, reading HPI magazines and absorbing the new technological change in the drag industries. He is a mechanic and also an engine builder in his own garage.

As seen on photos, a nice 3S engine being placed nicely for the RWD terrain. A huge turbine to support his 500-600hp high power and high revving output. Hoosier tyres to support his 2.5bar blistering traction. Custom intake manifold with 80mm throttlebody and 1000cc injectors to squirt racing fuel. The car is electronically powered by Haltech and tuned locally.

Jokingly Min Cai mentioned that he would sell the engine if the price is right to those that appricates the engine and its delivering power.

I respect Min Cai for his patience, driven passion and friendliness towards his modification.

Raya Special : Louis Honda Accord

Finally i managed to sit as a passenger in Louis's Honda Accord. Quiet, smooth and torquey.

UNREST : Kevin's Honda Civic

Kevin's car is another cake that just came out from the baking oven. At first without the CF hood, everything was white to match with the white TE37s. You can see him from a mile away day or night.

Kevin has just rebuilt his engine recently before the paintworks. Empowering this white candy is a 1.8 litre engine mildly modded to suit his daily driving and weekend track sessions.

He has explicit taste for Toda parts which makes you wonder sometimes whats is in the engine.

Kevin is new to the Honda scene and he almost caught his head in the quicksand during the early stages. As the days goes by, he is learning slowly and hopefully we see more mods from him next time.

Time will tell. Good luck Kevin.

Redza's Honda Civic

Redza's car is freshly baked from the oven. He is another "Spoon Yellow" fan as you can see from the photos. Spoon did not paint their cars yellow. Honda Civic EK-9 came with Phoenix Yellow Y-56 originally. The dark silver SSR Type-X is beautiful contrasting the yellow colour.

Anyways, Redza is a very good friend of mine. He has been in the Honda scene for quite sometime. Without a doubt, Redza has learnt the art of B-Series the hardway ever since he laid his eyes on the engine.

From forum insults to real life modifications, this friend of mine has grew tall with his wisdoms. With his spiffy knowledge and cheerful jokes, i respect his mods to this very day.

As we speak, he is building a strong daily-driven engine which compromises good aftermarket parts.

No more fruit-salad(rojak) engine modifications for Redza. We hope to see more updates from Redza.
